A Journey of Self Discovery: Revealing the Unseen

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest ACCOMPLISHMENT. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

My Who Am I video was all about an inside into a part of me that remains hidden from the casual gaze.  This blog post will delve into my story, reflecting on my past, present, aspirations, and the challenges encountered in crafting an introduction that mirrors my essence.

Creating this self-introductory video was a tough job. As I wanted to share my real self and all the things I've been through.  The real challenge was trying to piece together a jigsaw puzzle, where each piece represented a part of me, and I had to fit them all together into a single, and organized manner.

Through making this video, I realized that I'm more than just the words I use to describe myself. I'm a mix of memories, dreams, and feelings. And it's okay if not everyone sees every part of me.

My early years were adorned with a plethora of memories, all thanks to my mom. Countless snapshots from my childhood and adolescence serve as heartwarming testaments to the bond I share with my family and the passage of time. Those photographs are invaluable portals to my past, chronicling the journey of a girl who has since blossomed into the person I am today. My academic journey was not merely about attaining a degree; it was about self-discovery, growth, and honing my passion for language and expression.

Often regarded as jovial and carefree, there's a side of me that seeks solace in solitude during challenging times. This private retreat from the world provides me with a sanctuary to recharge and recalibrate, shielding me from the mundane life's hardships. Such introspective moments have taught me the importance of self-care and resilience.

Balancing the extroverted and introverted facts of my personality, I identify as an ambivert. My interests are diverse, as they range from binge-watching web series and movies to embarking on long walks that rejuvenate my mind. Exploring new cafes, dancing, cooking, and sketching are my creative outlets, nurturing a multifaceted spirit that refuses to be confined.

From a tender age, the dream of becoming a fashion designer ignited a passion within me. Today, that dream finds its realization as I step confidently into Pearl Academy, ready to embrace the creative journey that little Manvi envisioned.

Creating this video has offered me invaluable insight into me. I learned that encapsulating one's essence isn't confined to mere words; it's an amalgamation of memories, aspirations, and vulnerabilities. It's a reminder that behind every face, there's a rich tapestry of emotional dreams, and complexities waiting to be discovered.

Honestly, If I had been given this task five to six months ago, I would have probably said no because I didn't feel prepared. However, when I was assigned this task, I decided to approach it with a mindset of learning and personal growth.

This experience has allowed me to reflect on myself, my skills, and most importantly, how I present myself to others. It's not easy to define who I am in just a single sentence, but this has given me a glimpse into what I am and what I want to learn and what I want to become.

I'm continuously learning and adding new skills to my toolbox every day. Normally, I'm a confident person, but when it comes to expressing my point of view in front of others, I used to feel hesitant. Those self-doubts and stage fright made me anxious and nervous.

Nonetheless, I'm committed to overcoming these challenges, and I can confidently state that I'm making progress. Day by day, I'm building more confidence and steadily conquering my anxieties. Each new task or activity I undertake contributes to my personal growth and development.

So, that's a glimpse of me - Manvi Sharma. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me better. Remember, everyone has their own story to tell, and this is just a page from mine.
